Precast/Prestressed Girder is intended for the design of beams that are symmetrical about the midspan. As a result, only values for half of a beam are shown in the output for stresses.

For vertical shear, horizontal shear, ultimate capacity, and reinforcement, full beam results are shown. For each location, the program determines which point is critical between corresponding symmetrical points on the left and right halves of the beam. For example, in the "Final Stresses - Positive Moment Envelope" section of the output, Precast/Prestressed Girder compares the stresses due to total loads at the points located at 0.1L and 0.9L. The point with the highest stresses is reported in the output.
